Great Grand-daughter of Garden City visionary joins Institute

The great grand-daughter of Ebenezer Howard has become a founding partner of the International Garden Cities Institute.

Ursula Howard visited Letchworth last week to tour the Institute and find out more about how the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation is helping to maintain her illustrious ancestor’s legacy.

She has agreed to join the institute as a Founding Partner, and plans to contribute to work on the importance of modernity in the Garden City model. She believes the original Garden City Principles should be entrenched in new Garden City schemes, though with key modern components, particularly around contemporary architecture, efficiencies and sustainability in general.
